Waterfalls Austria (Salzburger Land)

The SULZBACHTAL is part of the Nationalpark HOHE TAUERN just a few minutes away
from the KRIMMLER waterfalls. Access is from NEUKIRCHEN am GROSSVENEDIGER ;
take the road to SULZBACHTÄLER (there is a UNTERSULZBACHTAL and an OBERSULZ-
BACHTAL) .This is a beautiful day-trip and takes about 10-12 hours to visit all the falls.
Parking UNTERSULZBACHTAL: close to the falls at the STEIGERHOF. Parking OBERSULZ-
BACHTAL: Drive dirt-road (good condition) up to HOPFFELDBODEN. I have shot this pic-
tures in May 1998 and July 1999.

Left and right above: The UNTERER SULZBACHFALL is about
50 meters (165 ft.) high. This fall is located in the UNTERSULZ-
BACHTAL; all other falls on this page are located in the OBER-
SULZBACHTAL. There is a short, but very steep trail to this
beautiful waterfall with many viewing points on the way. (takes

Access to this waterfalls is the big parking area at the HOPFFELDBODEN,
just follow the forest road uphill and you will see all the falls alongside the road .
Beautiful 8-10 hours return trip with view of 3.600 meter high mountains. I have
shot this pictures in July 1999.
