OSTTIROL     STEINER WATERFALL

OSTTIROL is located south of the FELBERTAUERNTUNNEL (Toll) (south of MITTERSIL
on Hwy.108). The
STEINERFALL is located in the PROSSEGGKLAMM close to the city
of
MATREI. Parking is possible at the beginning of the trail, about 2 kilometers north of
MATREI on Hwy. 108. I have shot the pictures of upper falls in July 1999.
Access to the lower falls is by driving from
MATREI to PROSSEGG. Follow the trail along
the river to the lower falls. Pictures of the lower fall have been shot in July 2001.

The
STEINERFALL can be reached on an
easy trail in about 30 minutes from Hwy.108.
I can't say how high this fall is in total as
you can see only parts, the visible part is
about 50 meters (150 foot).

PROSSEGGKLAMM located close to the other fall, height is about 5 meters.

OSTTIROL     HASLACHER WATERFALL

The HASLACHERFALL is located roadside on the Hwy. to KALS AM
GROSSGLOCKNER
Drive south on Hwy. 108 from MATREI and take the
left turnoff into the
KALSER TAL. I have shot this picture in July 1999.

The fall is about 40 to 50
meters (about 150 foot)
high.
This is a popular spot
for a picnic, a take-away
is nearby.

OSTTIROL     MARIA HILFER WATERFALL

The MARIA HILFERFALL is located in ST.JAKOB IM DEFEREGGENTAL .
Drive south on Hwy. 108 from
MATREI and take the right turnoff into the
DEFEREGGENTAL. I have shot this picture in July 1999.

, drive till
you reach the small village of
MARIA HILF, then look for the
sign to
STALLER KLAMM.
It's an easy 1 hour return walk
to the waterfall. The fall is about
30 to 40 meters high.
