is located near the ERZHERZOG JOHANN KLAUSE. Best access is from VALEPP in Germany. From here it's a 2 ½ hour one-way trail. Follow the trail to ERZHERZOG JOHANN KLAUSE thru a wonderful canyon. Then walk westbound for another 30 minutes along the BAIRACHE. I have shot this picture in April 1998. | TIROL | GERLOS-RIED WATERFALLS |
| This two
waterfalls are located close to GERLOS. (Highway B165,
west of the KRIMMLER waterfalls, east of the ZILLERTAL) If you leave GERLOS westbound you will reach the small village of RIED, park your car at the GERLOSBACH river. The waterfall at the left is located in the RIEDER KLAMM, just follow the signs northbound up the hill for a few minutes, look for trail #9. The fall is not easy to reach, you have to leave the trail after a few minutes, look for a red sign on your right side (not easy to see), now follow the very bad trail down to the river, the last yards there is some easy climbing to reach the viewpoint. The visible part of the RIEDERBACH waterfall is about 15 to 20 meters (60 ft.) The waterfall at the right is easy to reach, from your car use the bridge southbound over the GERLOSBACH river, and look for trail #7a that is a little bit uphill of trail #7. Follow this trail for about 30 minutes and you are at the base of the WILDERBACH waterfall. Height is about 20 meters (60 ft.) |

| TIROL | FALLBACH WATERFALL HALL |
![]() |
The FALLBACH waterfall can be
found north of HALL (east of INNSBRUCK). From HALL drive northbound to GNADEN- WALD. If you see a little chapel in the forest take the next parking area on your left. The region here is the ALPENPARK KARWENDEL. Follow the trail heading to the mountains along the river (mostly dry), at the end of the trail you see that little waterfall, not very impressive, perhaps this one is better in spring, the visible height is about 40 to 50 meters (120 ft.) The trail is very easy, round-trip about 1 hour. |
